APCA Bangalore stands out for its international curriculum, hands-on training, expert faculty, and strong placement support. With global internship opportunities and modern infrastructure, it prepares students for successful careers in culinary and pastry arts worldwide.
In the current scheme of career, internships play an integral role in moulding the budding chef to a thorough professional, under a disciplined set up. While the environment in the academy is very controlled and the students have access to the best of everything, the scenario in the hotels and restaurant is different. There is a pressure of volume, cost, performance, etc. which a student should know how to handle before she/ he works with a star hotel or opens her own bakery/ restaurant. We strongly recommend minimum three months of internship with leading restaurants, bakeries and 5 star hotels and to facilitate that, we have a tie up with some of the best brands for internship. Most of these internships are not paid but rich in experience with some of the hotels being Oberoi, Taj, ITC and bakeries like La Folie in Mumbai, Theos in Delhi, etc.
Chefs of 5 Star Hotels and leading restaurants/bakeries come to us for training. They appreciate our standards and are keen to hire our students in their properties. You would find most of our alumni working in leading hotels in major cities in the country and international locations. In the last leg, we conduct training on how to open own bakery/restaurant, how to arrive at the costing, etc. This is very helpful to students who want to open their own venture after completing the course. We send the resume of students who complete the advance diploma with us six weeks before their course gets over. They are then called for interview/skill test. Since our students gets trained hands on, they have no problem in clearing the interview.
Many students receive opportunities for international placements and internships, giving them exposure to global hospitality standards and career growth abroad.
